Since 1947, the Forestburgh Playhouse has been producing professional theatre for the residents of and visitors to Sullivan County. The Forestburgh Playhouse is a non-profit corporation in the State of New York, whose non-profit corporate name is Theatrical Arts at Forestburgh, Inc. (TAAF). TAAF is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt organization dedicated to maintaining the rich cultural legacy of the Playhouse and also providing educational opportunities for young people in the region, as well as providing a home base where artists can develop and produce new theatrical works.
We are very proud of the fact that every year, the Forestburgh Playhouse employs over 65 artists and staff, many coming right from Sullivan County. In addition, each year, the Playhouse hires 16 Resident Company actors from conservatories across the country to perform in the mainstage musicals and more. Our Resident Company program is designed to give young actors the opportunity to hone their craft in a professional environment.
Your donation to the Forestburgh Playhouse will help us not only maintain the beautiful and rustic property that so many have come to cherish, but also to bring in world-class artists to work on our productions. We rely on your generosity to continue our work.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated and we are constantly humbled by the support of our patrons.
