A BIT MORE ABOUT THE RESCO!

The Resident Acting Company (aka the ResCo) forms the core of the Forestburgh Playhouse's performance team. The 10-12 non-union actors in the ResCo spend the summer performing and rehearsing in a professional atmosphere, gaining valuable experience and learning their craft. Resident actors are not interns or apprentices, but full time performing non-union professionals who will work alongside experienced and prolific professionals throughout the season.

As part of its commitment to developing young talent, some ResCo members are invited back the following year and given opportunities to perform larger roles or in other capacities, such as directing, choreographing, assisting the producer, etc. A number of former Resident Company members have been re-hired as Equity actors.
