Dedicated to the cultural enrichment and education of those interested in the Performing Arts

The Forestburgh Playhouse Academy offers arts education programs that are designed to enrich and provide the highest level of artistic growth to students with a passion for the performing arts. With the mentorship of NYC based, working theatre professionals, a supportive and safe environment and unique programming that is linked to the professional, Forestburgh Playhouse stage, the artistic possibilities for Academy students are endless! Tuition: $1000

Calling all teens! Step into the spotlight during this transformative two-week program for Young Artists aged 13-17. Participants will collaborate with experienced directors, choreographers, and music directors -- combining expert training with unforgettable memories. This session culminates in performances of a Freaky Friday for family and friends to enjoy! 

If paying with deposit, full tuition is due before JULY 27, 2026

Beauty and the Beat - $15 

Get excited to head all the way back to the '80s with Beauty and the Beat—a fractured retelling of a tale as old as time... after time. From boomboxes to ballroom dances, this totally rad reimagining is packed with laughs, larger-than-life characters, and enough '80s nostalgia to make you want to dance your way to happily ever after.

Freaky Friday - $15 

One magical mix-up. Two switched lives. Endless chaos! Freaky Friday: The Musical follows a mother and daughter whose lives are magically swapped at the worst possible moment. As they race to survive school, work, wedding preparations, and family drama, they'll discover empathy, understanding, and that sometimes the people who drive you the craziest are the ones who love you the most.

Our beloved one-week Musical Theatre Ensemble Experience is back—bigger than ever! Designed for Young Artists ages 8–12 who love to sing, dance, and perform, this immersive musical theatre program provides one-on-one mentoring from professional teaching artists from across the country. Each session culminates in a fully staged performance for family and friends to enjoy. New for 2027: The Musical Theatre Ensemble Experience will offer two one-week sessions, each featuring a different show. Young Artists can choose the session that works best for them or register for both weeks to experience two unique productions and continue building their skills all summer long.
