Franklin Trapp (Forestburgh Playhouse Producing Artistic Director/Producer In The Works~In The Woods) Franklin is thrilled to present In The Works~In The Woods 6th Season! Franklin began his theatrical career at the Forestburgh Playhouse, as a Resident Company member, appeared in a national tour of Annie! and also performed at various regional theatres, including the Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C. In 2004, Franklin took a hiatus from the theatre, during which time he earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University and subsequently practiced in Atlanta, Georgia for the world’s largest law firm. When he learned that current producer Norman Duttweiler was looking to retire, Franklin could not resist the opportunity to return to Forestburgh and maintain and grow the rich cultural legacy that the Playhouse provides for Sullivan County. Franklin has a long association with the Forestburgh Playhouse beginning in 2001 as a Resident Company Member. He remained at the Playhouse every summer through 2004, earning his equity card, writing and directing children’s shows, directing cabarets and directing mainstage productions such as the Playhouse’s first production of The Sound of Music. While at the Forestburgh Playhouse, Franklin appeared in numerous productions, including, 1776, Titanic, Ragtime, My Fair Lady, Witness for the Prosecution, Catch Me If You Can, Miss Saigon, Evita, La Cage Aux Folles, and Hello Dolly!, to name a few. Franklin’s husband, John Bubb, also a Playhouse alum and a CRNA at Catskill Regional Medical Center, will share his talents as an artistic advisor. Franklin and John, and their Playhouse Pets—Lucy and Sally are excited to not only live full-time in the Sullivan County Catskills, but also to have the opportunity to be a part of a New York cultural landmark—The Forestburgh Playhouse!

Anthony C. Daniel (Associate Artistic Director) is a Director / Choreographer currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio. He made his New York City directorial debut with the sold-out production of Jason Robert Brown's Songs for a New World with Out of the Box Theatrics. Other credits include The Sound of Music (starring Broadway's Emilie Kouatchou), the Arizona Premiere of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Tick, Tick...Boom!, Sister Act, Kinky Boots, The Marvelous Wonderettes, And the World Goes 'Round, Murder For Two, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, Million Dollar Quartet, and more. He is the Co-Creator/Director/Choreographer of a new original musical show for Norwegian Cruise Lines. He currently serves as the Associate Director for the upcoming National Tour of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music, as well as having served as the Associate Director on the National Tours of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Cheers! Live on Stage and the American Premiere of Grumpy Old Men: The Musical. He has also worked as the Resident Director on productions of Mary Poppins featuring Tony Nominee Christiane Noll and the new American Premiere of Cameron Mackintosh's The Witches of Eastwick, which featured a Broadway star-studded cast and Emmy Award Winner Sally Struthers. As a performer, Anthony toured the globe in productions of Disney's Mary Poppins, Fiddler on the Roof, Grease, and was an original cast member of the World Premiere production of Disney's High School Musical. His regional credits include performing at theatres such as the St. Louis MUNY, Riverside Theatre, Pittsburgh CLO, North Shore Music Theatre, Atlanta TOTS, among others. As an educator, Anthony has worked with numerous institutions across the country, directing collegiate showcases and master classes. He also serves as the Associate Artistic Director for In The Works - In The Woods: New Works Festival at the Forestburgh Playhouse.
Robin Levine (Artistic Associate) Directing/Choreography credits include: Dear Evan Hansen, The Bridges Of Madison County, Come From Away, Constellations, The Last Five Years, Mean Girls, 9 To 5, The Who’s Tommy, Rock Of Ages, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Bells Are Ringing, Azamara Club Cruises, Mad Libs Live! and 42nd Street. Select Performance Credits Include MAMMA MIA! (Broadway, Las Vegas), The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, The Tony Awards and City Center. As a guest lecturer, Robin has taught at universities and conservatory programs, including Montclair State University, Rider University, Nazareth College, CAP21 and AMDA, and has been on faculty at Steps on Broadway in NYC. She is a member of A Broken Umbrella Theatre, an award-winning, non-profit theatre company dedicated to the creation of new works, located in New Haven, CT. She is the Artistic Associate for In The Works~In The Woods, an annual theatre festival for new works in upstate NY. Emma Bailey (The Homefront - Lillian) is so delighted to work on THE HOMEFRONT! Training: Otterbein University, BFA in Acting. She is featured in an upcoming television show on Amazon Prime. Tiffani Barbour (The Homefront - Ida Mae) is a Baltimore native, where she got her start at the Arena Players Inc. She is currently enrolled at Berklee School of Music. And is co-writing a brand new Children’s Musical called Ziggy Francis and her Amazing Adventures. Theater credits include: 1776 (Broadway Revival, A.R.T, Tour) Mamma Mia! Jaime Lyn Beatty (The Color of Things - Drainit) is a performer, writer, and founding member of Team StarKid. She has originated 18 roles in hit musicals, appeared Off-Broadway in Stranger Sings! and FIVE! and recently made her West End debut in “The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals”. @JLBeatty
Stephen Blauch - (Wandering Man - Drummer) (he/him) - is a New York-based performer who just performed in Forestburgh Playhouse’s productions of MDQ and Once. Favorite past credits include the most recent national tour of BUDDY: The Buddy Holly Story (Jerry Allison), Ride the Cyclone (Ricky Potts) at Hangar Theatre, Million Dollar Quartet (Fluke) & Heartbreak Hotel (DJ Fontana) at NSMT, Frozen (Kristoff) at New Stage Theatre, and Spring Awakening (Melchior) at Short North Stage. Evan Bottomley (Festival PA/Technician) (they/them) is stepping into a new role with Forestburgh for the festival as a PA. They were the Stitcher/Draper for the mainstage season this summer. Previous credits include The Crucible, Peter Pan Goes Wrong, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, and Little Shop of Horrors (SCAD), as well as Mamma Mia, and A Few Good Men (Community Players). They recently graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a degree in Production Design and a minor in Fibers.
Matt Bovee (The Color of Things - Dad) is a Brooklyn-based theater, dance and music artist originally from the SF Bay Area. He is a stakeholder for the NYC chapter of the Back Room Shakespeare Project, where recent roles include Caliban in The Tempest, Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Olivia in Twelfth Night. Recipient of the 2022 Fulbright Award to the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art, Masters in Classical Acting.
Joanna Burns (The Color of Things - Music Director) is an award-winning composer/singer-songwriter from the armpit of New Jersey. Her work has been featured in Tribeca Film Festival, ASCAP/DreamWorks Musical Theatre Workshop Los Angeles, CBS Diversity Showcase, USA Today and the New York Times. She is a long time member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop in New York where she also serves on the steering committee. Some favorite full length projects include her LP The Green Year, We Are the Benjamin Harrison High School Horse Girls! (with collaborator Lisa Mongillo) and Season Finale (with collaborators Justin Anthony Long and Joël René Scoville). She is the founder of Music Theatre Soundlab, providing content and education at the intersection of musical theatre and audio production. Patrick Swailes Caldwell (The Color of Things - Dewitt) is a multidisciplinary artist that makes new musicals. (Original Works: Courage House Milwaukee Chamber Theater. The Race for the Bahama Nuthatch The Dramatists Guild. Everything’s Perfect and Ted Wants to Die The Musical Creators Institute. Directing: Golem Owns a Tropical Smoothie The Tank. Kayla Ceaser (The Homefront - Gladys) is a NYC-based performer originally from just outside of New Orleans, Louisiana. She has worked with companies across the country. Credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Virginia Musical Theater & Le Petit Theatre), Purlie (American Theater Group), Pippin and Anything Goes (Tulane Summer Lyric), and Cabaret (Rivertown Theaters). Lauren Nicole Chapman (Thawed Out - Performer) is a New York City based actor, singer, and dancer who recently completed a eight-year adventure in the world of Frozen, appearing in the Original Broadway Cast and later touring North America as Princess Anna. For more than a decade, she has performed on Broadway, off-Broadway, and at theaters across the country. Favorite credits include Kinky Boots (Broadway and First National Tour), Betty Haynes in White Christmas, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Serena in Legally Blonde, and Corrie Bratter in Barefoot in the Park right here at the Forestburgh Playhouse. She is especially excited to return to the Miracle of the Forest, where she booked her very first professional job and met the love of her life, her husband Michael Starr.
Anthony J. Costello (Hut, Hut, Hike - Sam) is a NYC-based actor and model. Off-Broadway: world premiere of FIGARRO/FAGGOTS at Baryshnikov Arts Center. Selected regional: world premiere of Double Helix (Bay Street), world premiere of James Baldwin’s Giovanni’s Room (Quintessence Theatre), Bonnie & Clyde (Bay Street)The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Rhinoleap Productions), Masterclass (Bay Street). Ian Coursey (Wandering Man - Performer) is a New York based actor and musician who is about to release his debut solo album WANDERING MAN. Fresh off of the National Tour of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Ian starred as Rolf Gruber where he was able to finish writing his album about his journey with love, loss and grief. Ian is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan Musical Theatre department. He also spent a year touring with the final cast of the Broadway First National Tour of DEAR EVAN HANSEN. Ian is a strong advocate for Alzheimer’s research due to his fathers diagnosis and battle with early onset Alzheimer’s. He will continue to be a spokesperson for the disease throughout his career. Ian hopes his story will encourage others to be more verbal about their grief so they can connect with those around them during such a divided time in the world.
Sydney Cox (The Color of Things - (they/she) is a Maryland born turned NYC-based actress, teaching artist, playwright, and proud Wagner College graduate. They recently concluded a summer spent with Northern Lakes Arts Association as Annas in Jesus Christ Superstar and Gertie in Oklahoma!. Sydney is supremely delighted to collaborate once more with director Logan Reed (Once Upon a Mattress, Theatre Now's Soundbites 13), and with every bright mind here at Forestburgh Playhouse. Henry Crater (Wandering Man - Music Director) (he/him) is so grateful to be a part of the WANDERING MAN team. Henry is an actor, singer and songwriter based in NYC. Dan Davis (Technician) is very excited to be back again for the “In The Works, In The Woods” festival at Forestburgh Playhouse. This comes at the close of Dan’s fourth year at the Forestburgh Playhouse, working as a props artisan and fabricator. There is nothing more fun than getting to make the weird or specialty items a main stage show may require. In the off season, you will find him working with productions at the DVMS/DVHS drama program and other local theatres.

She is thrilled and so grateful to be a part of this powerful show and is excited to tell such a meaningful story while being led by so many inspiring women.
Kimi Fields (Company Manager) comes from Fort Worth, TX but claims Chicago, IL as her true heritage. Kimi graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor’s in Music with a focus in Vocal Performance. Some of her favorite roles included Gertrude McFuzz (“Suessical the Musical Jr.”) and the Witch (“Hansel and Gretel”). Kimi has recently found her new passion for theatre administration when she worked as the Company Manager Associate for the New London Barn Playhouse for their 92nd season. She would like to thank her spouse, Finley, and her fur babies, Onyx, Freya, and Theodore, for always supporting her goals and dreams. Sean Friedman (The Color of Things - PSM) is a proud New York-native Stage Manager thrilled to join Forestburgh Playhouse for its historic 80th anniversary season and the In the Works (ITW) Festival for its 6th year. His recent credits include working with Queens College on productions of Marvin’s Room and the Perceptions Dance Showcase. While this marks Sean’s very first staged reading, he is incredibly excited to collaborate with this talented team and help bring this wonderful new show to life. He extends his deepest gratitude to his amazing friends and family for their unwavering love and continuous support throughout his theater journey.
Robert Frost (Thawed Out - Music Director) loves the woods and is happy to be here. Thanks to Lauren and Greg for bringing me up and to the Forestburgh Playhouse for making the magic happen! Heidi Godt (The Homefront - ASM) most recently played Beverley, Annette and Others in Come From Away at The Gateway. Other favorite roles have included Donna, Rosie and Tanya in Mamma Mia (U/S, Broadway), Amy in Company (Laguna Playhouse), Georgie in The Full Monty (Norris Theatre), Fanny Brice in Funny Girl (Cherry County Playhouse), Janet in The Rocky Horror Show (European Tour) and Helen in The Break Up Notebook: The Lesbian Musical (Hudson Theatre). Sue Hamilton (Upstaged - Director) (they) - is founding artistic director/exec producer for Artists Rise Up Los Angeles, a social justice theatre company. Directed numerous productions for the Walt Disney Company and was creative executive producer for ABC Television Discovers from 2008-2021. Owns Sue Hamilton Studio, a leading acting studio in Los Angeles. Teaches acting around the world, most notably in Asia, where they created the SHS Global Training Performer Program for Shanghai Disney Resort. Recently directed Jessica Litwak’s Sometimes the Lights and is director/producer for What Do You Think?, a documentary film series. Multiple award-winning productions, including solo shows with Jane Lynch, Alison Arngrim, and now Stacey Scotte. Holds doctorate in educational and professional practice with focus on gender complexities in theatre. Member SDC. Always for HG + Blue.
Owen Harrison (Wandering Man - Guitarist) (he/him) is an actor & musician from New Jersey - and is very excited to be a part of ITW! Recent credits include The Play that Goes Wrong (Wolfbane Productions), Million Dollar Quartet (Peterborough Players), and The Office! A Musical Parody (Off-Broadway). Kenneth Jones (Hut, Hut, Hike - Playwright) Hut, Hut, Hike was a Finalist in the 2026 O’Neill National Playwrights Conference. His breakout play Alabama Story, also an O’Neill Finalist, has been produced at more than 85 theaters around the nation and is published by Concord Theatricals. His comedy Hollywood, Nebraska (also published by Concord Theatricals) was first developed by the Wyoming Theater Festival and bowed in a three-city rolling world premiere in 2022. His other works include Two Henrys (a two-time O’Neill Semi-Finalist, developed by Pioneer Theatre Company and elsewhere), later re-titled Why We Go to Florida (Florida Rep PlayLab); Tennessee Williams Drank Here (Florida Studio Theatre commission; Florida Rep PlayLab); Circa 1976 (O’Neill Semi-Finalist); the vignette comedy Ten Minutes on a Bench(Florida Rep PlayLab); and the musical Naughty/Nice (Concord Theatricals).
Greg Kalafatas (The Homefront - Ensemble) has his bug spray ready and is happy to be In the Woods this week working on such a great new work! He’s criss-crossed the country with the national tours of Hairspray (Edna), Something Rotten! (Nostradamus), Buddy… (Big Bopper) and The Drowsy Chaperone. He has also sailed upon the seven seas (three oceans) with Disney and Holland America performing in their mainstage shows. He’s had the privilege of sitting down at regional theatres across the country as well. So much gratitude to Matt, Anthony, Franklin and the entire Forestburgh and In The Works… teams. Greg Kamp (Thawed Out - Director) is thrilled to return to ITW ITW after directing Sidney DuPont’s “I’ve Gotta Be Me." Producing/Directing/Managing credits include Broadway’s How to Dance in Ohio, The Last Five Years and The Heart (upcoming) and work with National Alliance for Musical Theatre, Theatre Communications Group, Drama Desks, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, Arthur Miller Foundation, and more. He manages LML Music Presents, a boutique concert agency representing Broadway artists, and serves on the board of Take It From the Top, a non-profit arts education program. Vivi Kosanovich (Sound A1) is absolutely thrilled to be working on The In The Works In The Woods festival! She's most recently worked as the season long A2 at the Playhouse, and hopes that you enjoy the productions. When she’s not running around fixing mics, you can find her in London attending RCSSD as part of their BA program for tech theatre.
Kevin Kress (Production Manager/Lighting Designer) is a lighting designer and theatre artist based out of Chicago. He is excited to make the trip and return to the festival and Forestburgh Playhouse for his fourth consecutive year, serving as Lighting Head and half of the Production Management team. He is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support the talented working artists who come together for this magical week. Miranda Luze (The Homefront - Marge) is a New York–based performer and voice teacher. She is thrilled to return to Forestburgh after playing Janice in this season’s Come From Away. This marks her third production of Come From Away, having previously performed on the North American Tour and with Revival Theatre Company. Jeremy Robin Lyons (The Homefront - Music Director) is a music director, conductor, arranger, and pianist based in New York City. Credits include the national tours of Anastasia (Music Director/Conductor) and The Sound of Music (Keyboard 1/Assistant Conductor), and the Off-Broadway premiere of The Mad Ones (Score Supervisor/Assoc. Conductor). He served as Music Supervisor, Music Director, Arranger, and Co-Producer for The Broadway Ensemble’s double album, The Billy Joel Project. His work spans regional theater, international performances, and immersive experiences. Jeremy holds a master’s degree in orchestral conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is delighted to join the team for The Homefront at Forestburgh Playhouse.

Kimmarie McCrann (Wandering Man - Director) (she/her) is a Vietnamese-American theatre director, producer, and arts administrator. Her previous experience includes serving as the 2050 Artistic Workshops Fellow at New York Theatre Workshop, the Executive Producer of the Portland Theater Festival, and completing a yearlong Artistic Residency at the Accademia Dell'Arte in Italy. Kim is also the Founder and Artistic Director of Fisheye Theatre Company, an emerging collective in NYC focused on new work development. Malika Oyetimein (The Homefront - Director) is a director, writer, and educator whose work spans theatre, television, and new play development. She is an Assistant Professor in the School of Theatre, Film, and Television at UCLA and a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab. Ethan Perkowski (Production Manager) is thrilled to return to the Playhouse for his fifth summer and second ITW Festival. Since joining the company in 2022, he has served as a Scenic Carpenter, Associate Production Manager, Assistant Technical Director, and most recently, Production Manager. He is excited to return this season as Production Manager and continue supporting the artists, technicians, and teams who bring each production to life. Ethan earned his B.F.A. in Theatre Production: Technical Design and Management from Point Park University in 2025. His work has also taken him to New York City, where he gained additional experience with Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Stephanie Pope (The Homefront - Doris) is a Harlem, NY native and an 11 Broadway show veteran. She has appeared on TV, in film, and on cabaret and concert stages across the country and around the world, from NY’s 54Below, to the UK’s Royal Albert Hall. Her Broadway credits include CHICAGO (Velma Kelly), FOSSE (Leading Player), and Chita Rivera’s stand-by in KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN, to name a few.

His musical Mother, Me and the Monsters (a Boston Globe Critic’s Pick) was produced at Barrington Stage. His children’s musical, Dot Dot Dot is on a multi-year Theatreworks USA national tour. Jack Thibault (Wandering Man - Bassist) is an educator, musician, and filmmaker based in the DC area. Jack graduated from Allegheny College with a degree in environmental science and filmmaking in 2024. Since then he’s worked as an environmental educator and music teacher while producing several fiction and documentary short films. Being friends with Ian Coursey since childhood, he’s thrilled to play bass on the Wandering Man project.
